Flipping stuff

Flipping stuff

Mar 18, 2022

I really like to buy stuff and try to flip it for a small profit. When it comes to playing cards, one must have some knowledge about them in order to make a good deal. Luckily I am a magician, so I do have an over average understanding about cards and prices.

There is a quite famous group of cardists in Singapore called the Virts, which is short for Virtuoso(s). They have been producing really good quality decks for the past years, specifically made for cardistry (the art of handling cards beautifully like doing card fans, fancy shuffles, cuts and so on). I am no cardist, but am interested in their products.

The Virts are no noobs, when it comes to business, either. They only produce a certain amount of decks that the fans usually buy within a week or so and there is no re-sell. Which means that unopen decks in good shape will increase in value with time, since there are a lot of collectors wanting the decks, who weren't fast enough buying them in time.

I entered the only-fan-circle a bit later, so I only own the last three decks, but I have like 6 decks from each release. I purchased them for like 10 to 15 bucks per deck, they weren't so expensive. The red deck is the latest one that was never officially on sale, only the fans in the circle could get it. I am planning to try to sell these in a bundle here in Japan. They are worth 50 bucks tops, let's see, whether I can flip them for 150 or so.

I will upload more pics and will post an update as soon as I could sell the cards. We'll se. :)
