Buy Carla Pettigrew Hufstedler a book

I am in my fifth year of podcasting There Might Be Cupcakes. I just started as a book reviewer with Cemetery Dance Publications, so expect lots of early release book reviews incoming on the podcast by important and upcoming horror authors! I am disabled and chronically ill, and cannot work, so your support through Patreon and Buy Me a Coffee means the world to me.

Why cupcakes? My friend, the comedian Greg Behrendt, has a comedy routine about how he would do unpleasant daily things for cake, and anywhere you go, there might be cake, and there might be some for you. Well, cupcakes are all that and more: portable, equal, fancier...and so much more. The title of the podcast represents sharing,, hope, whimsy...

If you make a donation here, and request a topic by emailing me or commenting under your donation that fits into There Might Be Cupcakes' realm (i.e., the world of books and curiosity), I shall create that episode for you).

Let's have fun, and find cupcakes to make each day easier and more interesting.

Podcast description:

I am: a bookdrunkard, a 40-something with psychology and counseling degrees with post-grad work in grief/loss/trauma, sex crimes, and forensic anthropology.

a former freelance journalist and counselor, who is never bored.
a disabled introvert who sees connections everywhere–like John Nash, only less math-y.
a knitting fidget who loves horror movies with a skewed passion.
Like one of my literary heroes, Harriet the Spy, I want to learn everything and write in all down (more likely than not in my commonplacebook).
Join me (and sometimes my friends) in my strange library as I INFJ everything from unused angles.
It’s going to get weird in the best way. Let’s play.
