Be my own happy magician

Be my own happy magician

Dec 09, 2021

I have loved the company of dolls since I was a child. I think this should be a childhood memory more or less that everyone has. I would imagine that each doll has different personalities, different preferences, and different growth backgrounds, just like human beings. The little penguin who lives in the ice and snow is always open-minded to accompany with me, looking at the blue sky relaxing. The little bunny from the forest likes to jump on me and sing for me nursery rhymes with healing and warm sound. I often talk to them and play two roles by myself, assuming that they encourage me, comfort me, and always accompany as my good friends by my side.

When I grow up, I still keep this habit, it just like a kind of magic. I don’t need to rely on others as my friends to express emotions. I just need to play with my dolls, share all my happiness with them, and hold them crying when I’m depressed. This seemingly child behavior, but always keeps myself happy. It can make me don't have the mood of failing expectations, or not obtains enough expected comfort from friends.

In the traditional concept of bondage especially in Asian culture, might think, why is it so childish, and why it is so autistic. But I have no social barriers, and I am a mature adult. It's just that in the boundless space of my imagination, different dolls with their colorful and rich worldviews, bring me peace of mind and emotions. There is no need to get warm, and get a sense of accomplishment from relying on gossip in the crowd, the complicated etiquette of you and me, and even compared with others in the high and low levels of life. Each doll is endowed with uniqueness and true soul by me. Not only makes my innocent heart happy, but also allows me to give myself the ability to be happy, how precious this ability is in the disturbed modern times nowadays.

Therefore, I am proud to say that I am a happy magician who can create a doll be alive!
