Viola player and composer Oene van Geel introduced me to a wonderful music collection. Paul Crucq, a Dutch musician with a great intuitive capacity, created beautiful poetic compositions. Sadly, Paul has passed away, but the Crucq family and Nina Linde Jaspers invited me to create an artistic visual plan to fit in with my existing concept Mini Music Movies. The music as well as the photography created by Paul portrays an intuitive, sensitive and poetic life path and work method. This is something I wanted to work with, so the choice was quickly made to take all senses as a source for inspiration. The project is called Senses and will consist of 5 short animated films.At the same time I crossed paths with animation artist Anna Koppen. Our mutual interest for music and film projects were a great match so I invited her to design and animate the films under my direction. Senses is in development and will keep growing during the next couple of months. The first film is out now, we invite you to watch and follow the process via the channels of Mini Music Movies. The rest of the films will be published there. We will work towards a live presentation where we will also premier film number 6, a special music video that will be longer than the individual films representing the 5 senses.
