I'm back with a new video after a long time!
I joined the Watercolour Challenge hosted by Winsor & Newton, a well-known art supplies producer, on Instagram. Each participant were invited to paint something amazing that they had seen and experienced during the day. There were 3 requirements: paint the artwork in 30 minutes, use watercolours, and the final image must be no bigger than a A4 (21x29,7 cm). The prize for 10 lucky people will be a voucher redeemable on the Winsor & Newton official website. Who can resist to new, quality art supplies? Not me, obviously!
So, after thinking a lot about what to paint, I chose this image of my hands holding my favourite cup of tea. This is a breakfast ritual that helps me start the day, to slowly sip my tea (with a few biscuits) while reflecting on my duties for the day ahead. The extraordinary of a small habit, a simple gesture. I really enjoy these moments, they make me feel better.
Here is the timelapse of the video. I've used my loyal Cotman Sketchers' Pocket Box, the colours are still vibrant even after more than 15 years! The paper is Fabriano Watercolour Paper block, 300gsm, 24x32 cm.
