Hi there! I’m Atenas!

I’m a crochet pattern designer and instructor living the life in Sarasota, FL. Together with my mini partner in crime, and my husband, we terrorize seagulls on the beach on weekends. We recently moved here from Spokane, WA, but are originally from Albuquerque, NM. I love to crochet (as you have probably guessed), and spend hours everyday working on projects that I usually gift to friends and family.

A few years ago, I began to film YouTube tutorials to help teach others to crochet. I learned to crochet shortly after my kiddo was born to help keep me busy while she slept. Originally, I tried to learn to knit, but in my sleep-derived, new mom, zombie state, it was much too difficult for me to grasp. So instead, I turned to crochet. I was hooked and couldn’t put it down! I watched countless hours of YouTube tutorials, and practiced daily. Once I got the hang of it, I started designing my own projects.

The purpose of this site, is share the love of crochet with other creatives of the world. I love to share my patterns, and videos with you all and hope that they help teach and inspire others to crochet.
