Check out my post about WA HB 1782. This bill purports to be "creating additional middle housing near transit and in areas traditionally dedicated to single-family detached housing.". Basically, they want to take away single-family detached housing from Constituents and give a big ol grab bag to Big Business, Real Estate Developers, and Landlords!
