Devices for Online Learning

Devices for Online Learning

Jul 17, 2020

Good morning people!

Now that Online Schooling is more of a requirement than a choice, is your device appropriate for the job? Here's some of our tips.

  1. The device should be age appropriate. Younger kids (less than 7 years of age) might have problems with actual keyboard, they would be better off with tablets. But for older kids, a real keyboard is warranted.

  2. Ask your school for device specifications. Before buying a new one, first try the ones you have at home, check if it follows the online requirements. Some devices still work especially for simple tasks of downloading files, but watching videos or interactive games for the little ones might pose a challenge.

  3. Consider the internet speed that your line can accommodate. This will be dependent on the number of devices that would connect simultaneously. Lagging signals or total disconnection might push your child (and yourself) to disappointment.
