So Grateful

Jan 31, 2024

We are so grateful to every one of you, we feel so very lucky. As you probably know Dexter has been very unwell over the last few days and we really had to face the fact that we thought his time was up. We took him to the vets and prayed that he would be alright. After a thorough check up, he got the all clear, he's doing well for his age (16). The vet recommended an injection of Librella for his joints and he seems much more relaxed. We have heard great things about this drug and hope that it helps him, it's been difficult seeing the rapid decline in his mobility. The drug costs £90 and he will need it every month, it's expensive but we hope worth it.

In other news, we have had our boat lifted out of the water and had a new generator and motor installed, we have also gone for a bigger propellor and also a bigger inverter (15KW) we have been working with Liam at Oakums on the new system and hope that the boat and electric system perform better for us. We cruised yesterday in the sunshine for about an hour and moored up in a lovely spot with great views over farmland. I can't tell you how much better it feels to be out on the cut. We sat out on the deck eating our lunch and we were really happy to see our friend Nikki the Wood Burner and her lovely puppy Finn. We also had a visit from our friend Caroline from One Day More. The stars last night were just stunning.

We couldn't feel happier if we had won the lottery yesterday and could have cried when Dexter walked out of the vets after his check up.

Thank you all for your amazing support and well wishes, it means more than you know.

Have a great day.
