I'm not sure what this will be yet, probably a novelette. This idea came to me as a conversation between two characters. I filled out the rest around that in a mad dash at like 4 am. Happy new year! Hope everyone has been having a good one so far. I'm closing in on about the 50% mark of my newest book, A Kingdom of Curse and Ruin. I completed the first draft a while back, but I knew the book wasn't close to finished. I only had 47k words, and for the first book in a new fantasy series, I knew I needed a lot more to the story. Working hard to understand advertising for my books. I think I have a slightly better grasp now than I did a month ago, but I still feel pretty lost. I know it'll click at some point, but man, the beginning stages are brutal. My next book (likely a novella, I'll know when editing hits) will be a fantasy story! The book will serve as an introduction to my fantasy series (tentatively titled Tales from Esstaria). The "prequel" book won't be required reading to understand the series and its characters, but it will make the experience of the series richer.
