The Cat Bear Challenge

The Cat Bear Challenge

Jul 25, 2021

When I first started the Cat Bear, it was a challenge. There are no record spins for music in my podcasting like radio. I wanted to talk about music, and I felt the listeners would be bored without it. Writing about artists and their music made me find my own voice. It kind of made me write my own story by sharing my memories telling their stories. I found out about royalty free music, and I used it in my podcast. Also, I started playing my own music using a keyboard and drum pads. Sometimes there is a mixture of both. Before I knew it, I was creating something new, and the Cat Bear became a music commentary show. https://www.spreaker.com/show/cat-bear-the-red-panda-audio-station

I think back on all the times I wanted to be a part of radio. It had been my whole life. After high school, I wanted to head in that direction. I applied to get a job in radio, but did not make it. Then comes along the podcast world. It has been said that radio was much harder than podcasting and podcasting is what I should do. However, I still think radio is awesome, but podcasting gave me a chance to create something new of my own.
