Today is St John's Day and I'd like to share with you my new St John's Suite. This suite has 5 parts: St John's Fanfare (dedicated to John Higgins) St John's Processional (dedicated to Markus Dreja), St John's Offertory (dedicated to Janis Kalnins), St John's Communion (dedicated to Klavs Berks) and St John's Recessional (dedicated to Markus Dreja). It was created for the great organ of Vilnius University St John's church although registration suggestions allow performances for a wide variety of organs. It features effective solo and chordal textures, colourful harmonies and accessible pedal parts. It will work for various liturgical, ceremonial and concert occasions. I played separate parts during graduations at Vilnius University St John's church over the last few days.
