Good day everyone,
While scrolling through all of social media this morning. I came across this quote from the Beloved Queen who is now an Ancestor: Maya Angelou and her quote reads as follows:
"YOU ALONE ARE ENOUGH, YOU HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE TO ANYONE" - MAYA ANGELOU.
This spoke so deep to my soul this morning while trying to slow down and just focus. We are living in fast turbulent times and it can be easy to get caught up in everyone's positive and negative energies. But what energies are you generating on your own? Yes, I said energies. Are you waking up with letting someone think for you or are you really sitting down and making decisions on your own?
The subject is a lot more deeper than this but I'll keep it short. The media deliberately knows how to shift people's energies to what they want you to focus on. If you don't believe me, then the next time you either watch television, listen to the radio, watch YouTube, listen to a podcast or some form of Social Media platform, just notice the different targeted commercials that come on to slowly entice you to buy their product or use their service as it will make you a better person, help you to find true love, make you look skinnier just to name a few. I haven't even touched on the negative ways they keep division among races of people but you get the picture here.
Just know that if change is needed, to start where you are and slowly progress forward.
