Cyber Security and Forensics as a Career in Computer Science

Mar 28, 2022

The subject of cyber forensics is covered as part of the digital forensic science curriculum. It is concerned with the legal evidence stored on digital storage devices and in cyberspace. Since the dawn of the digital age, the demand for cyber specialists has skyrocketed. It is mostly the product of India's recent internet expansion, which was fueled by e-governance, e-banking, e-commerce, and social media.

Continuous attacks on social media and their misuse sparked demand for the B. Tech. Computer Science with Cyber Security and Forensics program. As a result, there was a cyber terrorism threat to our country's internet security, which it was ill-equipped to confront. After this threat began to threaten national security, the Indian government passed a resolution to establish a national cyber defense architecture.

The policy was proposed in 2011 with the goal of protecting national assets from cyber-attacks while also protecting residents' personal information. It was also aimed at bolstering the team in charge of Computer Emergency Response in order to audit, safeguard, and raise awareness about the problem while also advocating open standards. According to estimates, India would require roughly five lakh cyber security experts by the end of 2015 to support the burgeoning internet economy.
