Manage Your Pain at Home

Manage Your Pain at Home

Sep 17, 2020

The answer is simple.  You will take over your care and continue until a ‘cure’ is found for each and every condition and symptom you have.

Consider this, if you want to be in good shape, will you be successful if you workout only on days you have scheduled driving to the gym?  If so, you are spending money on gas and a gym membership.  You are also spending time, which is our most valuable asset, driving to and from the gym.  For those with chronic conditions, you are spending pain and flares during these drives to and from the gym.  A better, and cheaper option, would be working out at home since we don’t have the luxury of running to the gym multiple times a week as ‘healthy’ individuals can.

Another example?  Consider if you only eat healthy on scheduled days and times.  Would this give you the health benefits you desire?  Of course not.  We all agree that eating healthy must be done every day and at every meal for our bodies to get the health benefits we deserve.

Now, consider chronic illnesses and the many symptoms that accompany them.  Is it logical to believe we will get the pain management we desire if we only work on managing our conditions during scheduled visits with medical professionals?  If you feel that is enough, no need to continue reading this post.  However, if you are one of the many, including myself, who are unable to manage chronic illness and pain without daily treatments you are in the right place.

Chronic illness, pain and disabilities require DAILY TREATMENTS so it is imperative we learn how to manage our own symptoms at home.  This does not mean our conditions will magically be cured, but it does mean limiting pain flares and shortening their duration and intensity.  In some instances, symptoms may disappear as long as you follow your pain management plan.  For instance, I no longer have pelvic floor dysfunction as long as I do my daily physical therapy and keep my physical activity low.

I’m here to help in any way I can as you learn to develop your Individualized Pain Management Plan so contact me anytime.  You may also find free information at https://healthlvl.com/sciatica-sos-review/ to help you take control of your symptoms and have a more ‘normal’ life.
