100 Peaks Qilai Nanhua update & new post (my 40th one)

May 08, 2022

Hey hiking friends,

Anusha from Taiwan Hikes here. There are 2 posts I'd like to share with you today.

The first one is my hike to 100 Peaks Qilai Nanhua. If you don't know about 100 Peaks in Taiwan, it's a list of 100 mountains that are 3,000 meters above sea level (actually, we got 268 mountains over 3,000 meters). Qilai Nanhua is one of the easiest on the list. But, being easy to hike doesn't mean the beauty of the trail is less significant.

This trail was closed due to the landslide before April 2022 for a while. Now, it's open again after April 7. So, I think it's time to update some info if you plan to visit. This hike is totally doable by yourself. You can check out my post to see all you need to know about doing this trail.

As to my new post also my 40th one about my hiking journey is a hike to Mt. Dahun and Lidong Mountain Fort. I've done this trail before, but this is a trail worth doing again. The beautiful trees, versatile landscape, and the history of blood and tears hid deep in the woods.

What's more, I witnessed the most stunning sunset in the mountains!

This post is also special to me because it's my 40th one about my hikes on Taiwan Hikes. I wish I could publish at least one post every week. However, I still have a full-time job, and each post takes me at least 2 weeks to finish.

Hope you enjoy those posts, and I'll talk to you soon! Cheers!

Anusha
