This week's paying online opportunities

Hello everyone! I know I've said this before but...I get a lot of questions about what this newsletter is about.Write my money is a blog that caters to people that want to make money online from legitimate sources. My goal was for anyone to be able to work online and get paid. To that end, this newsletter that comes out every week, sharing opportunities from full time remote jobs, to magazines that pay for articles. The newsletter is broken down into tiers, the Public edition which is free (listing opportunities that pay up to $50), the WhatsApp edition for a $3/month subscription (listing opportunities that pay up to$100), the supporters edition for a minimum of $5/month (listing opportunities that pay up to$500) and the members edition for $10 per month. The members edition has all of the higher paying opportunities, and most of the full or part time remote jobs are listed there. Every now and again people let me know what they would be interested in pursuing, and I include that in the newsletter. There's also a blog that shares about, and explains different aspects of making money online, remote work, personal finance etc. I hope that this brings some clarity.

That said, here's what's there for you this week.

They publish fiction, non-fiction, and poetry “for every season”. “We are looking for nature-inspired pieces for summer, autumn and winter. We are leaning into our sylvan vibes this year; send us your forest poems, tales of fairies, and moments in nature.”

Deadline: 15 May 2022

Length: Up to two pieces of 1,500 words each for prose, up to 5 poems

Pay: £1.75 per line for poetry, £0.25 per word for prose

Etherea Magazine

This journal, established in July 2021, is seeking fantasy and science fiction short stories. “We are not too interested in horror or grimdark, however every submission is read and considered on its merits.” Also, “We are an Australian publication, and have dedicated ourselves to publishing a minimum of 25% Australian content.” They also accept reprints, and will consider completed serials (see guidelines).

Deadline: Open now

Length: 500-1,000 words for flash fiction, 2,000-5,000 words for short fiction

Pay: AUD25 for flash fiction, AUD100 for short fiction

3. Shape Magazine is a source for health, fitness, beauty, fashion, and celebrity news. Their news editor is seeking freelance writers who can take on timely news assignments. Experience/credentials in health/wellness will be a plus, but not required. Pay starts at $150. There is no deadline for writers to reach out. Email [email protected] for more information.

4. Digital Spy is the United Kingdom’s biggest TV and movies site. Their acting TV editor is always seeking “TV pitches that explain or shed new light on timely/upcoming shows.” He is especially keen to expand their anime and k-drama coverage. According to payment reports, they pay £70 to £90 for comment pieces (about 700 words). If interested, email [email protected].

5. CNET is a website that provides the latest tech news, reviews, price comparisons, how-tos, and more. Their commerce team is seeking a shopping-focused writer who has a minimum of 20 hours per week available to help them build something cool. Rate is $35 per hour. The position is remote. Interested writers should send their resumes to [email protected].
