Sometimes I freeze,

Sometimes I panic,

Sometimes I'm shaking,

I just can't help it.

Ask me how I am,

Ask me how's my day,

Ask me if I'm alright,

Though I may not reply.

Whenever I speak,

Words don't always come out,

Whenever I talk,

Words don't always make sense.

If my words worked,

I wouldn't be a fool,

If my words worked,

I wouldn't have the stutters.

Whether at home,

Whether at dinner,

Whether on the phone,

I can't conjure the right words.
