This week's rainy days have been full of wonderful, purposeful & mindful moments of reaching out and touching base with others. There's such tension in the air with the election, Covid #s rising again, senseless killings, protests, riots, etc., not to mention so many of our elders who have felt such alienation and isolation not seeing their loved ones during these 'distancing' times. At a 'art-as-harm reduction' workshop at The Last Stop in Kensington on Tuesday, a participant said 'together is the place I like to be'. This about sums up my conviction that genuine connection is so important for mental health and wellness.
