Think You Can Get Away With It?

Think You Can Get Away With It?

I Don’t Think So

Sometimes it seems like the bad guys win a whole lot more than the good guys do. It seems that way sometimes. Like in politics. You know what I’m talking about.

In the wars of somebody against somebody else on this plane of existence, somebody wins, and somebody loses.

What if the world wasn’t like that? What if there was a place where everybody won? Even the bad guys?

It doesn’t seem right. In no stretch of the imagination do bad guys winning seem right.

Think of us sitting in a circle playing marbles. Everybody starts out on an equal playing field. You all have the same number of marbles. You’ve each got a shooter which would typically be a larger marble. You use the shooter to knock the marbles out of the game. You get to keep any marbles you knock out. What if you knock all your own marbles and your opponent’s marbles out? Yup, it’s whoever has the most marbles at the end of the game who wins. At the end of the game, you either keep all the marbles if you are playing for “keepers” or the marbles go back to their original owners.

If I’ve gotten the rules of the game wrong, please let me know.

So, what if life was like that except nobody won? What if we were all competing against ourselves and we all won no matter what? In the end, good guys and bad guys really don’t matter. What?!? That’s not fair. That’s not playing by the rules. Nope.

There are consequences to everybody’s actions. Like If you go around killing people for 7 lifetimes, you’re going to be in a world of hurt for the next 7 lifetimes. If you are a loving, sharing person maybe you will be rewarded in the hereafter and not have to work.

What?!? Nobody works in Heaven.

Who told you that?

I heard it somewhere. I think it is a rule.

Gotcha. No rules.
