Crimea will always be Ukraine πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦

Crimea is Ukraine!

It's always important to reinforce this to the world. At this stage of the game, it's not necessary to explain much further. Anything else that goes away from the concept of Crimean Peninsula as an integral and unalienable part of the Ukrainian Territory is simply a violence in terms of international law, civilized manners, and human decency.

Taking away Crimea from us in 2014 was from a brutality Ukrainians never thought they would pass in their lives. Our grandfathers never forget to tell us about the Holomodor and the dictatorial cruelty in the Soviet times, but we humans have a tendency to believe the most important lessons only when it burns on ourselves.

For many years we hardly believe we could be affected by a similar storm in our lives. Even in Soviet times, after Khrushchev, things seemed to be more peaceful for ordinary people. The Russian shadow always frightened us after our independence in 1991, but optimistics as we are, we never really took for granted this nightmare could happen. At least in this scale.

Everything else is well-known history. Probably few conflicts in the world were so much documented as this one and I'm doing my part by this humble blog.

Digressions aside, I came here to write that in the 167th day of the war, Ukraine finally managed to send a HIMARS device to the occupied territory of Crimea and crush an entire occupied air base near the city of Evpatoriya.

This can be a complete game changer in this war. Crimea is a place of strategical significance in every point of view, and who controls the peninsula will have a critical advantage in the operations.

Not to mention, of course, the endless human, economic, and natural resources from one of the most beautiful places in the world:

↑ Olenivka Beach (near the westernmost point of the peninsula)

↑ Novofedorovka beach (close to the attacked air base yesterday)

↑ Port of Yalta

↑ Sebastopol

↑ Mys Tarkhankut

↑ Karavella Fiolent
