There has been a long standing request to add supporters to DrawShield. I'm pleased to say that I have now started to implement this, albeit currently rather crudely...
The syntax is fairly straight forward - it is part of the achievement so must come at the end of the blazon. They must be introduced with the keyword "supporters", and you can have both supporters the same, or give them separately, for example:
<blazon>.... supporters two lions or
<blazon>... supporters to the dexter a lion or to the sinister a dragon rampant gules
<blazon>... supporters a lion or and a dragon rampant gules
In the final case, it is assumed that the dexter supporter is given first, followed by the sinister.
You can use any charge as a supporter (although a lot of them will look pretty silly...). The charge on the dexter side will automatically be reversed, you do not need to specify this.
You can also use the charge adjustments (e.g "shown larger and to the dexter") if the supporters are not positioned quite how you want them.
Additionally, you can also add a compartment so that your supporters have something to stand on. At the moment there are only two different ones available:
compartment a mound
compartment a shelf or
Note that you can give compartments any plain colour, but they will take a default colour if you don't give one. Like the supporters, you can also adjust the position and size of the compartment using the charge adjustments extension. The compartment is only shown if there are supporters present.
I'm hoping to add more human figures that will work as supporters and more types of compartment.
