Working hard to understand advertising for my books. I think I have a slightly better grasp now than I did a month ago, but I still feel pretty lost. I know it'll click at some point, but man, the beginning stages are brutal. So much trial and error, running ads to see either zero movement or barely any.
I know I'm not the best writer in the world, but I've gotten better with each book, and apart from the first book in my SF trilogy, I think everything I've published so far is good enough to sell. Even the first of the trilogy is good enough, it's just rougher than the rest. I'll revise that book a bit sometime soon when I'm ready to advertise that series. First, I need to get marketing down and make A World Fallen and Reclamation churn out some numbers.
I want to continue in world I crafted within A World Fallen and turn it into a series, but I also don't want to do that if the readers aren't there. I love those characters and the book gets great reviews when people do read it, but I need to see profitability or at least the potential of it before I invest more time and money into it to make it a series.
I'm hopeful that I can make that happen; I'm certainly giving it my all. My current plan is to bounce between entries into the A World Fallen series and my upcoming fantasy series. I'm nearly done with the novella that'll serve as an entry to my fantasy world. I'm really excited about that book. I have some interesting concepts in there that I can't wait to explore more in-depth in the series.
