Woman of Valor

That's you! So many times, people read Proverbs 31 and want to throw a fit because it looks like an insurmountable checklist of perfection. This can all be put back into perspective by looking at the original Hebrew phrase describing the superwoman in the passage: eshet chayil. It means "woman of valor." She is brave. She is fearless. Why? Because she trusts in God for her provision. She puts her hand to whatever she has on hand and stewards it well, benefiting herself, her family, and her community by honoring God with her time, talents, and resources.
