With being a member, I’ll also include these behind the scenes posts occasionally to show what I’m working on.
Currently, I am working on tabbing out the song “Gin, Smoke, and Lies,” by the band Turnpike Troubadours. This is for an order I received recently.
I use a free software called Musescore to create the tabs. I will often use Audacity in order to slow down the song. This especially comes in handy with extremely fast songs that contain complex banjo solos.
These orders can sometimes take up to 15 hours of my time, depending on the difficulty of the piece. So it is hard work to figure out some of these pieces.
