And so, I'm 40. And, with this new year my bday coffee post has made it's returned, haha.
In the past two years since I've started posting this page on my FB/IG, I've been so astounded at the outpouring of love and support I've received. I guess everyone likes me better caffeinated, haha!
But really, I think I'm just so lucky and grateful to have people who believe in me and believe in the work that I do as a birthworker and artmaker. I cannot begin to express my gratitude and love for all of you. I honestly couldn't do what I do without the support I get from my fam/community.
This year has been another year that I've been able to witness life come into this world. I've been able to actually start selling my art. And, I get to watch my niblings grow.
When I was younger, I couldn't ever imagine being 40. I couldn't imagine what or who I would be. I think if younger O.C. saw me now, well, I don't even know what I would've thought. Haha, prob confusion, like, "how did I get there?" - in a good way, ha. I love that I have this opportunity to evolve and grow and through my work I can share that. I can build community and strengthen k'e. I get to be a part of so many sacred moments.
I'm deeply in love with the life I have. The only thing lacking is a steady stream of coffee. Haha! jk.
