Art from Spinach

I create art often times using plant pigments and pigments from vegetables. It’s really cool. This is a picture from part of the process. It you’d like to know more about my natural paint process let me know. The designs are super cool and random. With spinach in particular when it dries the iron rises to the top and the edges turn a brown copper color. I’ve also used beets, blueberries and spices to create unique art patterns. Get creative and use food as art. This is a great way to use up spinach if it’s starting to wilt. I’m sure it would work with other greens. I haven’t tried other greens yet. I’m sure fresh herbs would work too. I have tried onion peels and that’s fun. Try it and let me know what you used. 🌱
