Another part of our local history that has been overlooked is a castle. Newcastle to be exact. It isn't exactly forgotten but it seems that so many people today don't realise that Newcastle's name is literal There genuinely is a castle there.
There isn't much of it left, but it does have a good solid history. Stay tuned for more information when I have completed my research and article!
