Meal Planning week of 2/7/21

Feb 05, 2021

I had a meltdown this week because my child refused to eat the million dollar spaghetti. He said it had too much cheese. Cheese is like 1/3 of his diet!! So with Super Bowl this weekend I informed the boys we'd be eating very unhealthy, yet low maintenance food this week.

Main Shopping List

  • rotisserie chicken (will pick up Monday)

  • ranch salad dressing packet

  • sour cream

  • shredded cheddar

  • bacon (turkey bacon)

  • ritz crackers

  • butter (already have but will get extra)

  • chicken wings - will try to use the air fryer on these

  • avocados - to make guacamole

  • salad + chopped kale

  • berries

  • bananas

  • celery + green beans + baby carrots

  • frozen cauliflower pizza

  • frozen chicken potstickers

  • dr praeger veggie burgers

  • eggs + egg whites

  • Dave's killer bread

  • Boars head turkey + meunster cheese

  • Daves English muffins (on sale why not?)

  • almond milk

  • chobani yogurt

  • gatorade sugar free

  • Cape cod potato chips

  • natural peanut butter

  • seltzer

Dinners

Can you tell by that list I'm OVER cooking? Sunday night will be chicken wings and salad. I will make guac and they like blue corn chips with it.

Monday night I will make Crack Chicken Casserole. (All ingredients in list above) I'll pick up a rotisserie chicken to pick apart the same day. This will either go over really well, or really poorly. I don't care either way. Nobody in this house is starving.

The rest of the week there will be an assortment of frozen delicacies.

Lunches

Sandwiches, leftovers, whatever is around. They know better than to ask me.

Breakfasts

Picked up a natural peanut butter, somehow I ran out of this. Yogurt, cereal, smoothies, English muffins.

Not sure if it's the pandemic or my hormones, but I am not in the mood to cook. As you can see everyone still has enough to eat.

Boundaries are really important when it comes to feeding a family. You cannot feel guilty every time you need a break. Limit the options. Keep it super simple. Don't respond to whining.

"well...you can look around there's no shortage of food."

Have a wonderful week!!
