That Mitch AKED.

Hey!

Thanks for taking the time out of your day to read this. If you already know me then awesome, if not well, here is the main things:
I'm an Aussie. I live in Japan. I have a wife and 2 kids. I'm an English teacher of young kids for my day job. I stream and create D&D stuff for a hobby. Hoping to make some interesting content that I can publish at some point!

I love video games and Dungeons & Dragons.

My first console was a SEGA master system 2. The game that holds a special place in my heart is Final Fantasy 7. I am pretty sporadic and I actually don't finish too many video games but that wont stop me from playing them. These days I mostly play World of Warcraft. Ret Paladin main since TBC. I love to PvP even though I'm not that good at it.

I first played D&D in high school. I think it was 3.5e but I cant be sure to be honest. It was a horribly good time with loads of dick and fart jokes with a group of friends and we really couldn't get anywhere in the campaign my brother tried to run because we just messed about too much.

I moved on from D&D for a while and focused more on Warhammer 40k and many different TCGs, mainly the Score DBZ tcg. I played Space Wolves for the edge-lord in me and I played black tokuiwaza in DBZ for the control freak in me.

I slowly got back into D&D but only after moving to Japan and not actually having anyone near by to play with. Yes I'm one of those people who were inspired by critical role to reignite my passion for the roleplaying genre. It was right around the time 5e came out and I was hooked. Less rules and math and more DM decision and rule of cool. I wanted to play so bad but it was tough to get my group of friends to all be online on the same night. Given the time difference I was expecting them all to stay awake past our boomer bedtimes which is still a problem to this day but I digress.

I took up the role of DM so that our group could have some stability in a campaign and consistent game sessions and frankly I like playing but having the opportunity to create encounters, stories, characters, and worlds is a lot of fun for me and keeps my mind busy. Which I need to distract myself from, well, myself. I get anxiety sometimes. It can spike hard but I'm usually always up for D&D.

Currently.

Our group is currently playing through the Curse of Strahd. Theres 7PCs and we often have players take days off to tiredness or just not feeling up to it which makes the encounter balance swing quite a bit but its always fun. They're nearing the end (just the castle to go). After which we'll be exploring the land of Theros! In which I'll be homebrewing a campaign story!
