I have been looking for a poem,
I have been searching for some sweet words,
Words that can sooth my soul,
Words that I can share with my lover.
Words that have the power to affect and effect,
Words that have been engraved with love,
Words that have been written in wisdom,
Words that have been laced with that touch of humor,
Words that appear to be more than just mere words.
I have been searching for a poem,
Something that can excite me,
A poem that can captivate me,
A poem that elevates my state,
A poem that seeks to teach,
A poem that reflects the typical society,
A poem that leaves me thirsting for more,
A poem that can be said to be more than a poem.
