We stood next to each other in the four-bay shooting range, clutching our Glocks. I adjusted the ear protectors before I fired several shots.
She peeked at me. “Let’s see your handy work.”
I smiled and removed one ear protector off my ear. “Sure. How do you think you did?” I smashed the button and watched the target fly toward me.
“Fantastic,” she bragged.
Ryah was a skilled shooter. I witnessed her skills on the streets many times over the summer.
“Rocco, look.” She tugged at my shirt.
Later tonight, I’d fall asleep with my hands glued to her ass. I stared at her target sheet. “Nice.” My brows rose.
“Were you showing off? I waved my finger at the bullet holes in the center of the target.
“I just wanted to remind you I have your back when were out there.”
My lips fell upon her temple. “No question in my mind, Ryah. I know I have the best watching my six.”
“Damn straight.”
Her eyes roamed my target sheet. “We’re both fortunate. A shot to the head, several to the chest, and a hole in the heart. Very nice. Let’s go again.”
I nodded, then loaded a new sheet.
“Rocco.”
“Yeah?”
Ryah dropped her ear protectors around her neck. “I’m not giving you my virginity anytime soon.”
Fuck. That Emily shit came back to bite me in the ass.
“That’s fine. I can wait.”
Ryah turned and tilted her head. “You sure? I mean, it’s fine if you want to back out.”
Cupping her beautiful face, I stared into her green eyes. “You belong to me.”
“Rocco, you’ve had sex with so many girls over the past two years.”
I pressed my lips hard against hers. Felt like I bruised my lips. The hunger I had for her could eat me alive. Pulling back, I peered into her eyes. “I don’t do anything I don’t want to do.”
She arched a brow. “Is that so? I heard you say you didn’t want to fuck Emily, but you did.”
I shoved my teeth into my lower lip. “Yeah, I did. But there was a sassy girl on my mind the entire time. Ryah, I can’t change the actions I carried out last night. I’ll continue to treat you like the princess you are. My princess. Everyone will know your mine. No one will dare touch you. If they do, I’ll tear them down,” I growled as I took her lips again. A moan vibrated through her body.
Our foreheads touched.
“Tell me you understand it’s me and you,” I murmured against her mouth.
Ryah blinked a few times and her palm pressed against my chest.
“Just me and you, Rocco. It’s always been me and you. It took me a little longer to see we belonged together.”
“Good, Ryah. If anyone tries to come between us, we’ll handle them.” I bit her neck, then slapped her plump ass.
“Let’s continue practicing.”
She smiled.
