Hello, everyone! These past few months have been very packed with project work, both personally and professionally. Here's an update for those of you following along:
A second edition of Data Science in Higher Education is in the works! This edition will be a complete rewrite using Python instead of R, and will accompany the next item in this list. Anticipated finish date is likely 1-2 years out, as I may be making some career moves in the near future.
A free, 16-week introductory Python course is almost complete! I am teaching online with a wonderfully supportive community college, and my course will be open sourced along with the grading automation system I have derived for the project-based assignments. I'm really excited about this one.
More courses will be available in the future! I am working on a whole series to reignite the supplemental materials project that accompanies my Data Science in Higher Education book, which will be available on my website and free to anyone. I like the idea of open-source education and want to continue to champion it.
Thank you all for your continued support. I look forward to connecting with you in the very near future--either in one of my classes or online somewhere else!
