I thought I’d start my venture here by sharing a little bit about myself. I came to Puerto Vallarta back in 2001 and have called this city my home ever since. From the get-go, I arrived with the intention to put my skillset to good use, landing a job at Vallarta Lifestyles, a local publication devoted to showcasing the best of our city for visiting tourists.
My own curiosity about my new surroundings eventually gave me the opportunity to begin crafting articles for our company, eventually becoming the Managing Editor for the company’s print and web publications for more than a decade.
After my tenure at Vallarta Lifestyles, I’ve continued to connect visitors and locals with our destination, while at the same time providing freelance services for a handful of local companies that involve content creation: articles, social media posts, photography and video.
Given the increasing English-speaking population in Puerto Vallarta and surrounding communities, I repurposed my website, www.paco-ojeda.com into a space devoted exclusively to that population, and I’ve been having a blast crafting stories and content that showcases Puerto Vallarta, but from a local, Mexican national’s point of view.
I’m excited about the possibility to create a tighter connection with my readers through their ongoing support!
