Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage In Website Development

Apr 03, 2020

The first and clearest way to change the face of modern website design is by utilising the myriad artificial intelligence technologies or AI tools that become essential parts of modern design.

The obvious example of this in Future 1.0 is the explosion of chatbots and chatbot making tools (like ChatFuel, for example) - which in most website properties in recent years has become a cool element. By principle, they are supposed to close this gap in an entirely new form of the web interface, powered by dialogue rather than clicking or touching. This means complete automation for support interaction without human intervention.

We probably hear grandiose statements about artificial intelligence and the way our websites are designed for us. These claims relate to AI's abilities, timeliness and strengths and how it can be used in so many ways. The Grid is one of the earliest artificial web design intelligence choices. Since a few years ago they were crowdfunded, they now claim to make autopilot and fully man-free websites. Try them out anytime when they re-launch.

Also, it is good to know that artificial intelligence recently dominated the world of marketing and news websites for start-ups. In fact, artificial intelligence and machine learning (ML) bubbles on their landing pages dozens of times daily.

In many of these papers, AI topics have also won a dedicated "column." I think it's a flash paper for which marketers or growth hackers nowadays want to learn, explore and ultimately apply in their businesses.

Wix barges to success.

Recently, Wix released Wix ADI, an artificial intelligence tool to build a website. The concept is founded on the idea that Wix can generate an AI algorithm by using the 87 million users who have already used Wix to customise its own website. The Wix ADI will create the website for the user by simply having the user answer questions and curate content to complement the website.

Know about the Grid further:

The idea behind AI websites is not new. We spoke about the Grid, already. In 2014, Rituwall introduced the Grid to fanfare. The Grid was an incredible AI framework for contents analysis and design automation. At $96 USD a month it will be important to see how the Grid can compete with Wix's free-to-use ADI when V3 launches in 2020 and beyond. Currently, Grid has placed V2 sites in an archival state (recent news that followed as on December 2019) and its current users will be emailed a tool to acquire and backup their content, completely.

Thus, we are already seeing companies such as TheGrid that use artificial intelligence (AI) to create websites for you today. It should and will evolve into mainstream Web development, but it is no reason to worry about your career as a web designer. I or Saranya do not assume that in the near future (5-10 years), AI will be able to fully create an entire website and reproduce the branding and human traits of a product without human work involved. (At least not yet!) Many items are always going to require human input and personalisation. Probably.

Based on ongoing research and development, artificial intelligence is the future for web-designers. Artificial intelligence advances have been made for algorithm-driven design platforms, where the system generates web design models for consumers to make the best design decisions. The system is far from perfect and the created sites have been criticised negatively too. Instead of addressing the question of whether artificial intelligence should replace designers, designers should actually join the ride. Why fight against this?

Let’s explore and research on this tech ourselves and create more web applications like the ones described above and take Artificial Intelligence (AI) phenomenon to the next level for website designers. It might help all of us on a worldwide scale. Start thinking like a Legend, is what I say and what I mean.
