Not embarrassed at all to admit I had an adult temper tantrum this week about meal planning. I was paging through my binder and I slammed it shut, looked up at the Hubs, and said, "I don't care what we eat. You order the food."
I suppose this was my way of asking for help.
So he did. Then I went in and added some things I wanted. The list below is what he ordered.
Master Shopping List
salad
celery + carrots
brussel sprouts
avocado
frozen broccoli crowns
2 medium sweet potatoes
berries - black, blue, all the berries
bananas
chicken breast tenderloins
boneless pork loin
almond milk
Chobani yogurt
Boars head turkey
Cape Cod potato chips
eggs + egg whites
hummus
peppermint patties
salted butter
cinnamon swirl bread
Dinners
Husband says we will have chicken and pork this week with sides. Not sure if he has a specific plan to cook or what. I'll wait and see.
Lunches
Sandwiches, leftovers, salads, smoothies, anything else we find in the kitchen.
Breakfast
We are very much creatures of habit - oatmeal, cereal, occasional toast, smoothies. If we're feeling wild we make pancakes or waffles. Or buy them.
I'm not hungry for anything. I'm just not feeling food right now.
But this is proof that if I refuse, my partner is totally able to manage the food. So for all of you that feel obligated...keep this in mind.
We will probably order takeout as well - it's restaurant week in our city so why not.
