An Attitude of Gratitude

Feb 27, 2021

Hi, guess who's back!
It's me, Callum your favourite blog writing border collie.
I know a lot of blog writers focus on writing about one subject but they are humans and I'm a doggy so I like to bark about different things.

It's sort of like I wouldn't want to sniff the same spot all the time when there is so many other interesting spots to sniff.

Okay on with my barks for this week.  I'm going to bark about being grateful.

My human says everyone should have an attitude of gratitude.

I am a grateful boy for my human who takes such good care of me and for having a roof over my doggy head and good food to eat. I'm grateful to my grandma because
without her I wouldn't have my human.

It makes me a sad boy though that I didn't get to spend more time with my grandma. I know her spirit is here with me and my human though and for that I am very grateful.

I have an Auntie Susan and an Auntie Rebecca and an Uncle Dave who I'm grateful to have in my doggy life.

Confession time here, I have to admit that I get a little too exuberant when they come to visit me.

It must be magic  or something because when they come to the door my doggy legs get all springy and I jump all over them. I'm a bit obsessed with jumping up.

I think maybe I was a kangaroo in one of my past lives.

It's not that I'm being a bad boy it's just that I love them so much I have a hard time controlling my doggy self.

I'm also grateful for the people on face book who are such good friends to my human and accept her just the way she is. My human is grateful for them too. Believe it or not I'm grateful for my human's autism.

Her autism makes her see the world differently, she sees the world through a different window which gives her a different view on things. It made me think to my doggy self no matter how difficult something may seem if you look at it with the  right attitude you can find something about it to be grateful for.

Also I am grateful for the trees, plants, flowers, birds, animals and all of nature for making this world a more beautiful place. I know the trees are grateful when I stop to sniff them.

You know, not once on any of my walks have I seen a human stop to sniff a tree. If you haven't sniffed a tree or spent time basking in the beauty of trees you don't know what you're missing.

I am grateful for the lessons my tree friends have taught me such as to stand tall and proud,
to not be afraid to go out on a limb, to branch out and try new things and to stay true to your roots.

There are so many more things that I am a grateful doggy for, it would take too long to bark about them all. One last thing I will bark about being grateful for is my faithful blog readers who come back every week to see what I have to bark about.

I hope you all know how much me and my human appreciate you taking the time to read my barks.

I am sending lots of puppy kisses to you all to show my love and doggy appreciation.

It's almost time for my lunch so I had better end my barks for this week. Remember no matter how hard life may seem you can always find something or someone to be grateful for.
