**HITS OF THE 90s**

The 90s was the time of dance music, raves and ‘Old Skool’ beats that had clubs thumping to the beat of heavy bass-lines and catchy lyrics. It was also the decade of Diana, and in ’97 her death rocked the nation. This event spawned the biggest selling single in UK history from Elton John with over 5 Million copies sold in around five weeks.

The 90s saw us going to the movies more than ever before and Kevin Costner was a big draw to the paying public. Dances With Wolves, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Field of Dreams...the list goes on and on, but even he wanted to forget the dismal, ‘Waterworld’.

Two bands shared the record for Number One hits in the 90s with eight each... but that will be a question for later. Have fun!
