The stress bucket model is a useful way to conceptualize the relationship between stress and coping. To manage stress most effectively, it's important to limit the stress coming into the bucket, maximize the stress being released through healthy coping skills, and maximize the bucket's capacity by treating any mental health issues that may be present.
