Chapter 5's Breath Reset comes up constantly in messages I get, so I want to walk through what it's actually like to use, not just describe it clinically.
What It Is, Briefly
A specific breathing pattern, an extended exhale longer than the inhale, sustained for roughly 90 seconds, done in the moment anxiety starts building, whether that's anticipatory before intimacy or in the middle of it when you notice the switch flip toward evaluation.
What It Feels Like the First Few Times
Slightly awkward, honestly. Most men aren't used to consciously controlling their breath, and the extended exhale can feel forced or unnatural at first, like you're doing something rather than just breathing. That's normal and expected, not a sign it's not working.
What It Feels Like Once It Starts Landing
A noticeable settling, tension easing in the chest and shoulders first, then a kind of mental quieting a few breaths in, the racing quality of the anxious thoughts slowing down slightly. It's not dramatic or instant, more like a dial turning down gradually than a switch flipping off completely.
Why It Needs to Be Practiced Outside the Moment First
Trying it for the first time in an actual high-pressure moment is genuinely harder, you're learning a new skill and managing anxiety at the same time. Practiced daily in calm moments first, work stress, traffic, anywhere, it becomes available automatically under real pressure instead of something you're fumbling to remember how to do.
What Changes With Consistent Practice
Most men report it starts feeling less like a technique and more like an automatic response within a few weeks of daily practice, which is exactly the point, you're training your nervous system's default response, not performing a trick in the moment.
Chapter 5 walks through the exact technique and a specific two-week practice structure to build it. Performance: Unlocked is $39, instant download, in my Shop.
