This month I’m working on the vampire book, which is quite a mess. So this is definitely not a final draft, and as I’ve just mentioned on my blog ( petergermany.com ) I’m struggling with getting some real focus at the moment, my head just isn’t there at the moment. So I’m not going mad for like a deep edit. I don’t expect this to last long and I’ll be good to begin on the editors notes on the zombie book this month hopefully. It’s on my list to do, but I want to read through the notes a couple more times and make notes, then let it simmer a little. So, okay it might not get done by the end of the month but I’d like to think I’ll get it started this month. I’m being very considerate of getting this zombie book right. This is going to be my first published book and I need it as good as I am able to get it.

I am planning a video a week, or four by the end of the month. This is a goal that is directly affected by my anxiety levels. If I am feeling even slightly anxious then I can’t bear to be on video. Sometimes I’ll be able to take a selfie when I’m fighting off heavy anxiety but a video is a definite no-no.
I need to do better at finding anthologies to submit to. I’ve got a story that is with beta readers at the moment, but I’ll be submitting it to an anthology from Red Cape Publishing by the end of the month.
The next goal I have is to has a first draft of a story that’s currently titled ‘Isolation’, this one is actually already done. I finished it on the 2nd of the month, not realising I was so close to wrapping up a 1st draft when I set out my goals for the month. I like what I’ve got for it so far, I think it’s a good foundation to build from.
My final real goal for the month is to work more on my serial killer story. A little exclusive here, Isolation takes place in that universe.
I will be doing brainstorming other stories as well, and I’m sure I’ll end up working on other stories and even though I’m going to try and stop jumping around too much I think it’s still gonna happen.
It feels like I’ve got a lot to work on this month, but being busy is good.
