Office is Still a Mess, But I'm Working

May 18, 2020

So the last week has been a hectic one. From buying stuff at Home Depot for the house to trying to organize all of my stuff and unpack, I'm essentially burned out. And to top it all off, my bed is horribly hard and uncomfortable. I almost forgot how uncomfortable it really was since I've been in a nice bed for more than a month at the hotel.

I forgot to buy lighting today, so I will have to do the live stream with the old lights from before. It's not anything fancy, but it'll work for tonight. Otherwise, the light in the room is actually behind me, and I think I would appear ghoulish on camera with off shadows.

I still have so much to do in the house, and I feel a bit overwhelmed. Between trying to keep everything going, cleaning up the house, and dealing with client changes, it's getting rough. I need to stop saying, "If I only had THIS, everything would be better." Because every time I do, life proves me wrong.

On the upside, I've been more productive today than I have been in a while. And my office is definitely helping with keeping me focused and busy. Now, I just need to work on lighting, sound-proofing the door, and putting away everything behind me.

The way I have my day set up is working well, though. If I can maintain this new schedule, and get the house put together, I think the content will be in good shape. And I'm really excited to get back to making semi-regular videos again.

In reality, I think a big part of my problem right now is how tired I am...both physically and mentally. I'm drained. Even though my bed is like sleeping on a sheet of wood, I need to find a way to get to sleep earlier. But until the house is finished, it may not be possible.
