We all go through stomach aches. Maybe we ate something that didn’t agree with our digestive system, or perhaps we were anxious about that big presentation. But we all know the discomfort of a nasty stomach ache.
So, we try to get rid of this annoying pain. We sip something soothing, or we take in deep breaths. Whichever remedy we choose, the relief from the pain feels like a huge weight is lifted off our chests. And this is precisely how we feel while having a difficult conversation.
