Good afternoon. Welcome to the first pose dedicated solely to the artistic, fanfic side of Writer's Haven. Everyone else, here's what's going on in the studio!
Current fanfic obsession: Dukes of Hazzard. Last week, I sat down and started writing/wrote 4 different fics based off one follower's suggestion. They were all Christmas themed, therefore to get in the mood I put We Need A Little Christmas on repeat in the background while I worked. Perhaps this is a symptom that I do indeed need a little Christmas right now...
Current movie/series obsession: Loki. Loki Loki Loki. All day, all night. Loki.
On a broader level, Marvel in general is setting up to be my jam. I'm hoping to binge some Captain America for more fanfic inspiration. The first Steve Rogers fic I posted was well-received, so I'm eager to see if I can deliver again :)
Current writing quirk: Writing various misquotes and posts in the notes on my phone. As I write this I'm sitting in an exam room awaiting my Covid rapid test results. (I was negative, thank goodness.)
This month's coffee obsession: As the title indicates, pumpkin spice lattes all the time. I'm in the process of writing a BBC Sherlock fic with pumpkin spice muffins and lattes as the theme. Needless to say, I have a slight, seasonal addiction.
Current art obsession: Writing isn't the only art form I enjoy. During the school season hand lettering is my jam. Currently the hand lettering I create reflects my new found love of Loki. Mostly black, gold and greens. A dagger here and there for decoration. Some of my favorite Loki quotes front and center.
Glimpse into October: I would love to start posting some of my hand lettering on Tumblr as well as here. It's a growing passion of mine and I'm excited to see where it takes me.
Highlight of August: Since that was the month when this and my Tumblr page first went live, I definitely consider that the highlight of my month. Possibly the highlight of my year as well.
