So many of you know that I originally planned to do weekly VLOGS over on DJ NATDOG ECHUCA on YouTube but that definitely didn't happen last term and I have to say that the Lockdowns certainly paid a part in my lack of VLOGs but also the simple fact of KISS, I just couldn't be bothered EDITING stuff in Resolve I think that's got a lot to do with the simple fact of, I used the computer so much I just valued my down time.

One of the questions you guys asked me was what was the highlight of my First Term: Working with Ryan D on YYB Podcast and working on the behind the scenes video which we did for YouTube - Next year I would love to put some of my video work through the paces and enter it in to MyRodeReel by Rode.

One piece of hardware I couldn't have gotten through my course without: Zoom Podtrak P4 and I honestly mean this, it made the ability to do my podcast assessment so easy once I ironed out the kinks, I don't know how I would have done that if I didn't have the PodTrak P4 as at the moment gone are the days where people can walk in to your studio.

I honestly at so many times felt overwhelmed to the point of WTF have I gotten my self in to during my first term. I know I faced so many challenges even to the little things where it was just simply, audio files missing from pro tools folders which was clearly a SSD structure problem but once I ironed that out I felt like I had achieved something.

I know the term was a challenge and I accepted the challenge and I know the next term will only bring more challenges to me but I am happy to rise to any and all challenges.

I forgot how much during 2010/2011 I enjoyed learning pro tools, I think above all else you can't forget what you learn in Pro Tools, I know it's a resource hungry DAW for a lot of the people out there that might struggle to run it and I know a lot of people don't like the fact that you need a iLok for it either.

Hardware that could have aided in to my study term: A smaller handy recorder, I am thinking something along the lines of the Zoom H5/H6 or even the Roland R-07 I found that the Zoom H8 was on the heavy side and made it hard for me to use with the many tasks I needed to pull off with the Zoom. GoPro Hero or some form of action camera, using the G100V has it's perks and quirks but as a solo operator I needed a smaller form factor. Dual monitors in my windows set up would have been a massive piece of help. A interface for the windows system, I am thinking of looking in to the Arturia MiniFuse interfaces for this system I think it would be handy to have a interface to make the process with Pro Tools on this system work much more smoother.

Struggles: I really struggled with certain parts of my course especially when it came working with Video, I am running in a dual OS world and that's not by choice, but at the end of the day I didn't really have much choice but to run in a Dual Operating System World. As Pro Tools Video engine is currently not supported on M1 Mac systems which most definitely sucks, on my windows rig I am definitely running out of USB Ports therefore it would be super handy to have had some form of a dock or a hub it might be worth investing in a ALOGIC solution.
