A Look Forward... to 2022 (already?)

A Look Forward... to 2022 (already?)

Oct 15, 2021

On Wednesday I asked my Instagram followers for their travel questions. One follower's question was so simple, and yet still has me thinking.

"What are my travel plans for next year?" she asked.

For someone who writes a travel blog and loves planning trips, it seems like this would have been an easy thing to discuss. But it's one of the biggest questions in my life right now. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

For the past couple of months, I've been pretty open with you about my quarter-life crisis. In fact, Life Half Full was created at one of the lowest points of my life. So, my travel plans next year (like my life!) are... šŸ§. Really, all I want is to continue to inspire you to explore on. And in all honestly, your amazing support is what inspires me more than anything in the world.

But for now, I can share a couple 2022 plans:

  • In January, my husband and I are headed to Barcelona. I've done some preliminary research and I'm most excited about touring the cava wine region! Cava is my favorite wine in the whole world and what better way to celebrate the start of 2022 than with a fresh bottle?

  • April 4th we leave for Europe for Free and will be traveling a little over 5 weeks! šŸ¤ I'm so excited to explore a large portion of Eastern Europe and share the experiences with you. Of all the places on the list, I'm looking forward to Istanbul and Budapest the most.

  • My husband and I have a best friend we met in college from Nepal. He is headed home in October and invited us along to visit his family for a couple weeks. We obviously said, "Yes!!!!!!" But I had one condition... I want to trek to Everest Basecamp before I'm 30. Which is next November. Meaning, right before my 30th we will trek for 12 days with iTrekEverest. It's going to be one of the most expensive trips of my life... and unlike a lot of my travel plans I can't hack my way out of the trekking price! šŸ˜¬

  • Our friends are getting married in Cabo next December! (Congrats to Cole and Kate šŸŽ‰) We're excited to visit a new part of Mexico and eat a lot of tacos for a couple days. The Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos has a great redemption, with stays for 20,000 points a night. Maybe we'll stay here a couple nights of the trip before heading to the wedding venue?

Explore on. -K
