Episodes 6, 7, and 8 She Speaks Volumes -Revamp

Three more episode to go on the SSV revamp: Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl by Harriet Jacobs, Living My Life by anarchist Emma Goldman, and an anti-war essay Three Guineas by Virginia Woolf. Beyond a doubt these are the most challenging for me, Harriet Jacobs because addressing slavery means addressing race issues, and I am worried about saying the wrong thing. Emma Goldman because Living My Life is an epic auto-biography spanning essentially all the major events and movements in the 20th century that have shaped today. I have decided to handle that by using only Volume 1 for this season and exploring Volume 2 in season 2. Three Guineas is such a brilliant and subtle satire and I want to clearly show how VW illustrates that war has been the work of masculine power.
