Hi, my name is Neil Bettison and I teach all things 3D modelling on YouTube, Skillshare, Udemy, and Blender Market. I am a professional 3D artist with 8 years of modelling experience, including assets, characters, and environments. In 2019, I founded 3D Tudor out of my passion for 3D modelling which I wanted to share with others.
I've tried my best to make my YouTube channel an inspirational space where you can come to get a kickstart for a new project or portfolio piece, or to expand your skills, workflow, and design even further.
I would like to devote more time to my YouTube channel, but unfortunately, it just does not pay the bills. So, my focus needs to be on my courses for the time being until I can make enough money from Buy me a Coffee and YouTube to release most of my work for free.
Why should I pledge? Juggling all these projects while working to develop my YouTube presence has been an incredibly challenging experience for me. My current YouTube income is minimal, and I would love to have more time to develop free YouTube courses and tutorials alongside my paid courses. I have had to heavily limit the time I can spend on my 3D Tudor courses and tutorials. With your help I hope to be able change that.
How would you spend your extra time? I would be able to make 3D Tudor my full-time job, with awesome new courses and tutorials on Udemy, Skillshare, and Blender Market, produce even more helpful FREE YouTube tutorials and courses, and perform important maintenance tasks like updating all of social media accounts, developing new tooltips and tutorial addons to make my content even better and engaging.
Which awesome features would you add to your tutorials? I am one of the only instructors who use live on-screen tool tips throughout my lessons, helping learners to follow along, without the need to go back and revisit previous shortcuts. This enables absolute beginners and mid-range learners to learn alongside one another, with nothing holding them back, and at different paces, chosen by each student. I hope to keep expanding my library of on-screen tooltips and graphics that would support your learning experience. I also hope to start implementing some of the most popular feature requests and some of the cool new ideas that some of my students have given me.
How about your YouTube channel? On the YouTube side of things, I would start by publishing more tutorials, especially around animation. Apart from pushing out videos much more frequently, I would also develop more FREE full courses for my YouTube channel – currently focusing on my Western Town series of stylised buildings and assets.
