Colectivo Raqs llegó y fue grato ser parte de ello. Fue en evento pequeño, pero sería erróneo pensarlo o verlo como algo poco exitoso o de poca popularidad, pues en realidad se sintió íntimo. Este evento tenía su propósito y estuvieron las personas necesarias y deseadas (por lo que estoy agradecida de permitirme) ser parte de ello), había unos objetivos y se pudieron alcanzar. Espero pronto compartirte el video de mi participación, en cuanto a la historia y sensaciones del momento pronto estarán disponibles en mi membresía Underwater, donde se encuentra todo este catálogo de los procesos y tras bambalinas que generalmente no son parte de la historia pública, a menos que suceda algo controversial, pero que yo creo en que valen la pena, por eso están ubicadas en esa categoría.
Lo que sí quiero compartir ahora es una breve reflexión. Al menos en la danza oriental en México, hoy en día, que es lo de que puedo hablar, nos hemos acostumbrado a querer destacar, lo cual no es malo; que el vestuario sea el mejor, la música la más bella, en el mejor teatro, compartiendo con las mejores bailarinas y sentirnos parte de todo eso. Hay tanto enfoque en el exterior que a veces nos olvidamos de lo real, de que no solo lo grande y brilloso es lo bueno. Cuánto valor puede tener un evento que no pretenda todo eso, porque lo importante por alcanzar sea compartir con esa compañera/colega cercana, o sea el que las personas que quieres puedan ir y apreciar, sin pelearse por un lugar donde realmente te puedan ver, y disfrutar junto contigo.
Esta presentación a cargo de Colectivo Raqs me generó nostalgia y trajo a mi recuerdos de hace mucho tiempo, lo global no se puede comparar con lo personal. Deseo que alcances todas tus metas y puedas entonces compartir la satisfacción con alguien que sepa lo que significó para ti. Los grandes proyectos son los del corazón.

Colectivo Raqs came and it was nice to be part of it. It was a small event, but it would be wrong to think or see it as something unsuccessful or unpopular, because in reality it felt intimate. This event had its purpose and the necessary and desired people were there (for which I am grateful to be allowed to be part of it), there were some objectives and they were achieved. Thank you for the invitation to Barbharha Tasaner.
I hope to soon share with you the video of my participation, as for the history and sensations of the moment they will soon be available in my Underwater membership, where you will find all this catalog of the processes and behind the scenes that are not usually part of public history, unless something controversial happens, but I believe they are worth it, that's why they are placed in that category.
What I do want to share now is a brief reflection. At least in oriental dance in Mexico today, which is what I can talk about, we have become accustomed to wanting to stand out, which is not bad; that the costumes are the best, the music the most beautiful, in the best theater, sharing with the best dancers and feeling part of it all. There is so much focus on the outside that sometimes we forget the real thing, that it's not just the big and shiny that's good. How much value can have an event that does not pretend all that, because the important thing to achieve is to share with that close companion/colleague, or the people you love can go and appreciate, without fighting for a place where they can really see you, and enjoy together with you.
This presentation by Colectivo Raqs made me nostalgic and brought back memories of a long time ago, the global cannot be compared with the personal. I hope you reach all your goals and can then share the satisfaction with someone who knows what it meant to you. Great projects are those of the heart.
