Seeing

Mar 07, 2022

To see a beggar ignored,

To see them freezing in the cold,

To see them asleep in the streets,

The simplest gesture their bit of gold.

To see a child starving,

To see their bones so weak and brittle,

To see them crying for a hug,

Longing for love just a little.

To see the trees disappearing,

To see the creatures without a home,

To see them suffering without the forest,

Wandering helpless and alone.

To see the world falling apart,

To see it fading away and dying,

To see our Gaia being neglected,

I will never stop crying.
